I am always drawn to tubing mascaras. There is something reassuring about a formula that wraps each lash instead of just painting over it — no flaking by noon, no smudges under the eyes after a long day. But I had never found one in burgundy until Makeup Revolution sent me their Lash Wrap mascara.

The Makeup Revolution Lash Wrap comes in at £10.99 (roughly $14) from Superdrug, a beauty retailer based in the UK — though you can find it online anywhere. The packaging promises mega extension and volume, which I take with a grain of salt since those claims are hardly measurable. Still, on my lashes, it delivered a fuller-looking lash line that felt honest without being overdone.

How It Wears
Tubing mascaras work differently from your average tube at the drugstore. Instead of coating lashes with a film that flakes off, they form tiny polymer tubes around each individual lash. Removal means warm water and a soft cloth — you press gently on the lashes and pull down, and if it is a good formula, you will see little strings of mascara come away on the fabric.
The Lash Wrap held up beautifully through a full day. No flaking, no smudging, and removal was clean. The burgundy shade is deep enough to read as flattering rather than theatrical — it caught the light in a way that felt intentional, not accidental.
The Honest Details
On the plus side: the color payoff is genuinely impressive for a drugstore price. Most colored mascaras I have tried end up looking either too subtle or too much like stage makeup. This one sits right in between. Application was smooth, no clumping on the first coat.
The downside? Volume is modest. If you are someone who builds to three coats and wants dramatic thickness, this may not be your match. Tubing formulas tend to sacrifice some volume for their wear-and-removal benefits, and that trade-off shows here.
Verdict
I did not have many complaints about this mascara. It gives a lovely burgundy finish without looking heavy or artificial, removes cleanly with warm water, and at £10.99, it is an easy reach if you are curious about colored tubing formulas.
Rating: 4 out of 5 — not the most volumizing mascara I own, but one of the most pleasant surprises in my current rotation. If burgundy has been on your beauty wishlist this season, this is worth a try.
